Cannes 2013: best moments

Enjoy!

Mid season inspiration

Once in a while I like to share some pictures that inspire me. Tommy Ton is a specialist when it comes to capture the best moments and details of streetstyle. His vision is so refined and the quality is outstanding. I reunited some of my favorite shots and I hope you like them. Anna Wintour, Jeremy Scott, Nike, Chanel, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Louis Vuitton... sneakers, stripes, patterns... a mix of class with sportswear is a great option for this mid-season.

You can check more amazing photos at JAK & JILL or visit my facebook blog page where I usually post several pictures too. Have a nice week! :)

Versace bling bling

You all know I'm obsessed with Versace... and sometimes I feel like this is almost a fansite, but it's not, I swear. However, the Italian fashion house is so fascinating that I feel this urge to talk about this or that. And believe me when I say there's ALWAYS something about Versace to talk about.

Recently, I discovered the Spring/Summer 2013 accessories collection. I'm not a man of rings and bracelets... in fact I only wear a watch and nothing else. The only accessory I have is a Versace for H&M necklace that I use once in a while, mainly during Summer, but I've been looking for a ring too, just like the ones Tobias Sorensen use (see here). Unfortunately I've never found it... till now! When I paid attention to Versace's details, it gave me goosebumps. It is EVERYTHING I need and want. From the iconic Versace Medusa ring, to a bracelet, necklaces and tie clip. UGH!!!! SOOOOO GOOD! My body is totally ready.

I ran to the online shopping site but the rings were sold out already... and they were 120€, I guess. Not cheap, but not as expensive as I thought they were. :'( Now all I can do is cry while watching these amazing beauties...
Since I still wanna feel depressed I did a collage of some details from the Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show so that I can look at them and cry a little bit more. If only Donatella could send me a little gift...  I would be the happiest boy alive!

One of the most well known fans of Versace is the one and only Chris Brown... he not only wears clothes but also uses accessories like chains, rings and sunglasses. Everything Versace! That's why he's so stylish and one of my favorite celebrities. Love his daring fashion sense (and, of course, his music!).

I'm in tears, devastated... cruel world!!!

Fashion quickies

There are a couple of things I'd like to share with all of you so I compiled them and here they are.

Rick Owens Fall/Winter 2013/14 gloves are out of this world. To be honest, I think it was the best detail of the fashion show. I would love to have them all. I mean, look at those fluffy beauties... the grey ones reminded me of Tim Burton's Jack (click here to see what I'm talking about). Love love love them! ^_^

Jean Paul Gaultier Fall/Winter 2013/14 is a good collection, not great nor terrible, just good. I selected a few of my favorite looks. They are classy and I love the colors, the layering and the mixture of fabrics. Good job! However I think Mr. Gaultier already did better. If you want to see the whole collection click here. What I appreciated the most was the fact that the fashion show was different: it was a presentation where models stripped themselves to display the pieces.

To end this miscellaneous post... I would like to present you guys two new faces that stood out when I was checking a series of pictures captured by Dennis Weber of male models wearing their own coats. The first one is Tom Leigh and his bone structure is amazing, the second one is Hao Yun Xiang and I'm really fond of asian faces. I will sure keep an eye on them!

End of the world moodboard

It's Christmas time and I decided to gather some great looks and details I've been loving. The Dior Homme oxford shoes with red laces are stunning and I would totally rock them. What about that black hoodie sweater with gold details? Perfect for a casual day. Then there's a gorgeous black hat combined with a grey long coat... damn, I see myself wearing that for the rest of my life ahaha. Another thing that I would die for is a pair of Versace gloves. Like Rebecca Bloomwood said in the timeless classic Confessions of a Shopaholic: "Well, these cashmere gloves I need as it is winter, and I have... hands." I understand her (more than I should)!!!

What do you guys think about that Raf Simons F/W 2009 black/beige trench coat? I'm totally feeling it, it's so elegant! My winter would be complete if I could have it. Since I'm talking about winter I must express my love for Louis Vuitton's latest Fall/Winter collection which was flawless. Can you see those shoes in the middle with some metal details? Gorgeeeee! Do I need to say anything about the red blanket coat? I thought so. It's too perfect for words. I would combine it with that chocolate brown Versace watch with a bracelet made of crocodile leather. Last but not least, I also needed that Versace black/brown leather jacket just to do some grocery shopping on weekends... ahaha kidding. I need it to breathe, basically that's it! I'm amazed.

Now, since everyone is talking about the end of the world on 21-12-12... I decided to choose the look I would love to wear on my last day alive. I picked this Emporio Armani F/W 2012 outfit because I love it from head to toe, specially the hat and the boots. Flawless! What about you? What will you wear? See you on 'the other side'. ;)

Versace's awesomeness reminder

I was chatting with my blogger friend Ruben and he told me about this photographer I never heard of (shame on me!!!) that has shot some fashion shows for Vogue.com. His name is Kevin Tachman and as soon as I realized he photographed Versace Haute-Couture 2012 during Paris Fashion week, I googled  him. What I like the most about Kevin Tachman's pictures is the angle, he always captures movement and details from hidden angles, like if he was sneaking around or something. I'm in total awe and of course I selected these 3 images from the Versace show just to remind ourselves of how amazing Donatella is. It's never too much! #WorshipTheQueen

My perfect Fall

It's THAT time of the year... o Outono está aí cheio de chuva e nuvens, mortinho para me deixar de mau humor.

Lord praise Versace. Amen.
Deprimidos enough??? Yeah, me too!

Indoors style

Banal is not cool! Let's be honest, todos sabemos que 72,9% (LOL) do streetstyle é encenado.

That's what I'm diggin' right now!
