Sunnies 4 the winter season

Y'all know how much I love sunglasses, right?! It's totally one of my must-have accessories. I can't leave the house without them.

Even though most of my sunnies are very timeless, like my RayBan collection (Wayfarer, Clubmaster, etc), I also have the trendy ones too, usually more colorful. Anyway, I'm always researching about new models and I just found these two I fell in love with, they're perfect for the Winter season that's coming... get ready to cry in 3, 2, 1...

Aren't these Versace babies the most perfect sunnies you've ever seen? I'm in love, they're so classy with that golden Medusa detail. I want them as soon as possible. #MyEyesAreReady 

What about these Jean Paul Gaultier sunglasses? I love them... first of all because I'm obsessed with golden things, second of all because I love round lenses and third because I love all of the details with that twisted metal on the side. #TooCool4Skool ahah

NYFW runway overview pt.2

OPENING CEREMONY SS14

Opening Ceremony presented a very cute Spring/Summer 2014 collection. One of the core points is versatility. All of the looks are versatile and mix formal and sporty elements. Everything is very fashion forward, the colors are great. However, a lot of prints from this collection were very weird (not the ones I selected above though). 

BAND OF OUTSIDERS SS14

Band of Outsiders is so not my kind of fashion and the Spring/Summer 2014 collection reflects a lot of diversity, colors and layers. It's a vibrant line, but a little bit alternative for my personal taste. It was difficult for me to select my 4 favorite looks because everything was very messy and all over the place. The shapes are baggy and very fluid, I liked that.

DKNY MENSWEAR SS14

I loved it. DKNY did it again. Cool laid-back looks with a classy twist, ready to conquer the city. The white/nude/beige pieces were very fresh and the cuts were precise. It's fashionable, yet sober. There was also a little bit of color for example the red suit with shorts and a pale pink shirt. Very charming! 

DKNY WOMENSWEAR SS14

Sexy & vibrant. These are the perfect words to describe DKNY's Spring/Summer 2014 womenswear collection. The brand celebrated 25 years in the business with a lot of energy and cool looks. How awesome is to see Karlie Kloss wearing a blood-orange satin-backed crepe gown with a pair of wedge sneakers? It's too cool for school!!! Plus, crop tops and orange lips... it's time to hit the city, get your fierce DKNY look and slay.

ALEXANDER WANG SS14

Alexander Wang presented a super cool Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Very basic and simple just like his aesthetic. I loved the Parental Advisory sweater that Georgia May Jagger is wearing and the boyfriend's shirt & boxers look of Behati Prinsloo. Great ideas for an extremely edgy woman!!!

HERVÉ LÉGER SS14

OHHHHH LORD! American designer Max Azria slayed again with his Hervé Léger collection. Gorgeous sexy cocktail dresses and pieces that every girl in the whole world would love to rock anywhere. These are my favorite looks from the Spring/Summer 2014. Very glamorous and cosmopolitan!!!! A+

LACOSTE WOMENSWEAR SS14

Felipe Oliveira Baptista keeps doing a great job at Lacoste. The womenswear SS14 collection was very chic yet sporty. It had an urban cosmopolitan vibe, it's Lacoste but it's also fresh and contemporary, desirable. [At times I see some DKNY in some of the looks. Anyone?]

LACOSTE MENSWEAR SS14

Lacoste's menswear Spring/Summer 2014 collection was a little bit uninspired... I saw a lot of Prada SS13 everywhere from cuts to colors, the whole aesthetic was very identical. I was expecting a lot more.

NAUTICA SS14

Legend O'Pry and Garrett Neff walked for Nautica during New York Fashion Week. The SS14 collection was kinda cool, very sporty and all of the clothes appeal to every man. Perry Ellis was loyal to Nautica's heritage and that's great. Plus, the show had the BEST MODEL CASTING of the season. I mean... Sean O'Pry rarely walks (by rarely I mean never, at least recently) and he just slayed with 2 looks, just like Garrett. I can't get enough.

RAG & BONE SS14

Rag&Bone is effortlessly cool in every way. I loved this simple yet sophisticated SS14 collection, it was sexy and fierce and classy at the same time. What about those orange lips? What are you waiting for girls? Orange lips ftw.

NYFW: Michael Bastian SS14

New York Fashion Week is happening as we speak and there was one specific fashion show that caught my eye: Michael Bastian's Spring/Summer 2014 menswear. I've been a Michael Bastian fan since ever. I do not only love his eponymous label, but also his work for Gant. He's a very conscious designer and knows exactly what's current and what costumers desire. Basically, Michael's contemporary sense of chic is all over his SS14 line.

The inspiration came from french movies like "The Red Balloon" (1956) and "The Dreamers" (2003) and then it evolved into a wider general idea of Paris, french guys and their very own sense of style.

“The inspiration initially came from observing the French guys in my life, as well as movies such as The Red Balloon, The Dreamers, and the classic movies of Jacques Tati. I also drew inspiration from the incredible spirit and joyfulness of the late American designer Patrick Kelly - no one loved Paris more than he did. I often think the true essence of a place can only be reflected through the eyes and experiences of an outsider, and for me, Patrick's vision of Paris -- bright, romantic, frenetic, sexy and chic -- is the one that stays with me. (...) And I became obsessed with this beach they create in Paris called the Paris Plage, where they just make a fake beach on the Seine for one month a year. So there's this fantasy guy we have: He's a banker during the day, but then he hops on his scooter, drives to the beach, takes his suit off, and falls down onto the beach. How crazy to do that, in a city like Paris?" - said Michael Bastian

This concept took form in laid-back classic looks, casual and fresh, chic but sporty. Everything's so wearable and modern. Any man would love to rock one of these looks, I'm sure! Plus, there's also the fun intelligent elements: pineapple and colored cheetah prints, a clever social media reference with "Follow Me" patches on sweaters, bandana scarves. To top it all the signature Michael Bastian pieces like rugby polos and cropped shorts. To be honest, I'm in love with this neo-dandy allure that the American designer created. I want everything in my closet!!! What about the styling of the fashion show? It's uh-mazinggggg!

If you follow me on my facebook page or twitter you all know I'm a Katy Perry lover. I supported "Roar" 200%, because she's slaying everyone in the industry by not taking herself too seriously (yeah Gaga I'm looking at you!!!). Anyway, "Roar" is already #1 on Billboard Hot 100 and my gurl Katy keeps on dominating with brilliant ideas and concepts.

She just released her GENIUS music video for "Roar" and I have to say my soul was murdered, raped, slayed and then murdered again. Katy Perry looks stunning and extremely gorgeous like never before. I need a moment... it's too much awesomeness! Miley Cyrus slayed the VMAs

LEGENDARY & ICONIC. My gurl Miley Cyrus twerked her ass off and surprised everyone with this amazing performance of her hit single "We Can't Stop". Plus, she also sang with Robin Thicke, his summer anthem "Blurred Lines". It was too epic for words to be honest. I'm done with all the criticism from all of the haters out there. Miley had a lot of fun being reckless and delivered what is so far my favorite performance of the year.

Robert Pattinson for Dior Homme

Hey y'all!!! Sorry I've been away for so many days... almost a month without posting here on my blog. I've been on vacations in Italy and south of France... it was a blast and I can't wait to share a lot of pictures with you all. If you follow my instagram you probably saw where I've been... Anyway, I'm back!!!!!

The first post after my return is something really epic and amazing. My fave Robert Pattinson and Dior have teamed up for a brand new campaign. It was revealed just a little teaser and I'm absolutely amazed by the shots captured by Nan Golding.

Besides, there's also a behind the scenes video where you can see the different locations and scenes from Robert's shooting. It looks like a movie, oh my goodness, I can't wait to see the final result. It has romance, the places are so beautiful, the black and white cinematography is absolutely stunning. Just see for yourself... My soul was slayed. #flawfree

Music Roundup #4

Depois de ter sido pai, Kanye West deu à luz um novo álbum. "Yeezus" é o mais recente trabalho do polémico rapper norte-americano que cada vez mais opta por uma sonoridade experimental.

"Yeezus" foi gravado entre Nova Iorque e Paris, esta última cidade onde Kanye também tem um apartamento. Diz-se que foi diversas vezes ao Museu do Louvre para se inspirar na criação do álbum... Não sei até que ponto a arte o inspirou, a verdade é que este disco mistura diversos elementos como acid house e industrial music, ainda utiliza samplers como por exemplo o de "Strange Fruits" de Nina Simone num dos cuts mais interessantes, "Blood on the Leaves". Liricamente, Mr. West tem vindo a tornar-se cada vez mais agressivo e obscuro, obviamente que a vida luxuosa e o racismo são temas constantes e recorrentes.

Esta dark vibe acentuou-se desde que o rapper perdeu a mãe, creio eu. Pelo menos é assim que tenho observado a sua discografia e eu sou seguidor desde o início.

Um dos detalhes interessantes e que não escapou certamente à visão de Kanye foi a cópia física do CD, que não tem qualquer tipo de artwork, é simplesmente uma caixa, transparente, com o CD e uma fita adesiva encarnada. Weird much?!?!?!?

Durante 10 faixas, Kanye West mostra como está possante, potente e barulhento... existe um feeling minimalista, perfeccionista de alguém obsessivo-compulsivo que tenta apurar o seu som ao máximo, sem no entanto deixa de ter grandes beats. Na produção de "Yeezus", o rapper teve a ajuda dos Daft Punk e fugiu à sonoridade comercial. Faz o que quer, não tem nada que provar a não ser a si próprio. Não tem sido fácil superar-se e, embora tenha aquele temperamento impulsivo e difícil, Kanye é um dos génios da música moderna. O álbum tem também participações vocais de Justin Vernon (vocalista de Bon Iver), Charlie Wilson, Kid Cudi e Frank Ocean, sem no entanto serem features.

O 1º single "Black Skinhead" é uma das minhas músicas de eleição (com um vídeo bem estranho!!!!), juntamente com "I Am a God" e "New Slaves". Todavia, a minha grande favorita é "I'm In It" com Justin Vernon e o DJ de dancehall jamaicano Assassin. O instrumental é crazy e a mistura de vozes dos 3 fica excelente.

Se querem hip-hop com sintetizadores, elementos electrónicos, industrial rock, post-punk e rap, então têm aqui a proposta perfeita! Kanye West está a redefinir a música, está a redefinir géneros e esta dissonância aparente cria o conceito de "Yeezus". Afinal, Mr. West está a nomear-se Jesus da música, da sua música e à sua maneira.

Optimus Alive 2013

Estou a ouvir a mais recente música da Azealia Banks, chamada "Venus", com o DJ Paul Oakenfold, e estou super hyped para o concerto da rapper no Super Bock Super Rock. Mas antes não podia deixar de vos falar do Optimus Alive. Fui apenas no 1º dia do festival e embora tivesse pena de não ter ido no último, sei que aproveitei ao máximo.

Comecei cedo no palco Clubbing com Gold Panda... e foi super cool e relaxante. Como é óbvio sempre a captar todos os momentos para ficarem na memória visual que é o instagram. eheh

Nos entretantos, encontrei o actor Jamie Campbell Bower que esteve em Lisboa para ver os concertos com a namorada, a blogger Zina do FashionVibe. 

Para quem não está a reconhecer... o Jamie Campbell Bower é o actor que interpreta Caius, um dos vampiros da família Volturi nos filmes da Saga Twilight. Para além disso, ele é o protagonista de "The Mortal Instruments" (baseado numa série de livros com o mesmo nome) que irá chegar aos cinemas ainda este ano. Vejam o trailer...

Isto que eu vou dizer até vai soar ridículo mas é a mais pura das verdades. Geralmente, todas as pessoas odeiam comida de festival, já eu tenho de confessar que estava mortinho por comer a minha massa Milaneza. Ahahaha Eu amo/sou as massas Milaneza nos festivais... são a vida tbh.

Depois do meu jantar uh-mazing, foi tempo de ver os concertos...  um pouco de Aluna George e Stereophonics... depois Two Door Cinema Club.

Finalmente os Green Day!!! Ainda me lembro quando comecei a gostar deles... foi na transição do 9º para o 10º... estava na minha fase punk-rock/ska (sim eu tive uma!) e os Green Day eram dos meus favoritos, juntamente com os Sum 41, Good Charlotte, Blink 182 e outros quantos. Foi um óptimo concerto, nada aborrecido... o Billie Joe e a restante banda estão melhores que nunca. ♡♡

Depois dos Green Day, ainda foi possível ver um pouco de Vampire Weekend e correr para Steve Aoki. Há dois anos eu tinha visto o Steve Aoki ao vivo, precisamente no Optimus Alive e gostei. Todavia, este ano o Steve foi act do palco principal e SLAYOU tudo o que havia para slayar.

Quando vos digo que não há palavras, não há palavras mesmo!!!!!!!! O Steve Aoki tornou o Alive todo numa enorme pista de dança com sonoridades verdadeiramente épicas, beats orgásmicos... I can't even... Apresentou novas músicas, com algumas nuances dubstep, e o característico dance/electro.

Surpreendeu-me tanto e diverti-me de tal forma que nem dei pelo tempo passar e foram quase 2 horas de concerto. Imaginem só... eu que odiava a Iggy Azalea, mal ouvi a colaboração dela com o Steve no fim do concerto e fiquei fã, o mais possível. Ainda estou obsessed com a música (obrigatório ver o vídeo acima!!!). Melhor dia do Alive de sempre... sem dúvidas! (Nem me quero lembrar do cancelamento de Florence + The Machine nem de quando o palco estava a cair e fez com que os The Pretty Reckless e outras bandas não actuassem...)

Basicamente foi um 'optimus' começo da época de festivais. Agora segue-se Super Bock Super Rock... mais massas Milaneza (espero eu!!!!), grandes concertos... e já sabem que podem ir acompanhando a tempo real todas as novidades no meu instagram: @ZERBRANDAO.

Optimus Alive 2013 através de lentes Carrera

Como vos disse a semana passada e como muitos de vocês devem ter acompanhado no meu instagram... não pude perder mais um Optimus Alive. Foi mais uma óptima edição daquele que é um dos principais festivais de Verão portugueses... apesar do tempo que esteve sempre enevoado, parecia Glastonbury (mas sem a lama!).

Comecei logo por passar pelo stand da MultiOpticas para ficar a conhecer as novidades da Carrera. Desde que a marca de óculos de sol se relançou com a atitude racing e apostou na grande tendência de lentes espelhadas coloridas eu fiquei muito curioso para ver todos os modelos ao vivo. Não podia ter ficado mais maravilhado quando lá cheguei! Eu, consumidor compulsivo de óculos de sol como sou, estava no paraíso!!! Imaginem só... bem, não têm muito que imaginar até porque tenho algumas fotografias para partilhar com vocês.

As armações super estilizadas, as cores, a reinterpretação moderna de linhas clássicas... tudo muito contemporâneo e apetecível. Eu tive a oportunidade de escolher os meus novos óculos de sol e a decisão foi difícil. Muito difícil. Num festival de Verão como o Optimus Alive é onde coexistem muitos estilos e eu queria ter a certeza que ia trazer comigo os mais especiais. Vidrei-me inicialmente nos Carrera 6000L, transparentes com lentes espelhadas em tons de verde e azul.

Depois descobri os Carrera 6002 Havana que eu já andava a namorar desde que tinha visto na campanha e nos outdoors. São uns óculos mais sóbrios, adoro o detalhe metálico que une as duas lentes e a cor acastanhada dá uma certa versatilidade em termos de estação.

Nos entretantos ainda me apaixonei pelos Carrera 6008 e depois parei nos Carrera 5002 que têm hastes coloridas e mais largas, lente espelhada e são igualmente épicos. Basicamente, quantos mais via, mais indeciso ficava. É normal, não é?!

Bem, no final acabei por escolher aqueles que foram amor à primeira vista... os Carrera 6000L. São lindos, perfeitos, muito Verão e claro têm a ver comigo. Este modelo transparente com lentes espelhadas vende-se EXCLUSIVAMENTE na MultiOpticas... e eram precisamente os que faltavam para enriquecer a minha colecção. eheh ♡
